The Raven’s Eye

I wake in the darkness of obsidian shadow.
Alone soul left in unforgiving sorrow;
Left to wander long days and nights,
Left to find the answers —
But answers to what?

One quick look turns into a grave gaze;
And I stand like an alone trilithon stone.
I still see the raven’s fiendish eye,
Staring at me as a ferocious foe;
Swallowing me in its black hole.

In fear, I close my eyes shut;
Hoping it will disappear,
When my eyes see a light.
The light comes darker;
The answers; — yet unclear.

The ostensible reflection is fake;
Its wrathful shadow stands true.
With a screaming, breakneck swing,
Bloody pieces start to snow.
I don’t see it, now I just know.

Pushing myself dreadfully out,
Walking through the crowd;
The raven comes flying closer,
Sits heavy on my shoulder,
Whispers surely in my ear
True words of despair.

I find myself back at a familiar place;
Looking for my lost treasure,
But the chest stands desolate.
Only the blue birds come singly close
To remind me that it is all a reverie.

Heavy oceans scrapping down;
Tears of blood make worse sound.
The righteous demon inside,
Fighting indignantly for its freedom;
To finally face its unjust warden.

So I send myself away
As I can not stand to stay.
I search for a new way;
Traveling the old ones heedfully,
Hoping that I am not crazy.

As I lay awake through the night
My eyes covered in shell;
My soul is in exclaim.
I can not find peace;
I murdered it in wake.
